Management & Implementation of Climate Change Levy Agreements

The Climate Change Levy is applied to all Electricity, Natural Gas and LPG charges and at present this levy represents between 8% and 10% of the cost on a commercial consumer’s bill unless a rebate has been obtained. Not everyone is eligible for a rebate in the levy and determining qualification can be a very involved and complicated process, due to the lack of clarity for determining qualifying business processes.

In return for a rebate in the levy (up to 80%), consumers are required to commit to reducing energy consumption and targets will need to be met. Trident Utilities have a wealth of experience in establishing qualification for the levy rebate; calculating and determining the appropriate measures and benchmarks to demonstrate improved energy efficiency; compiling and submitting the ongoing data required by DEFRA and project managing the implementation of efficiency measures to assist with meeting targets.
