The Environment Agency announces ESOS Phase 2
If your business hasn’t already begun with the assessment, this means you have just over a year to complete and report findings to the Environment Agency. Failure to do so could potentially result in a financial penalty and reputational damage for your business.
Fortunately, that’s where we can help you. At Trident Utilities, we can deliver the right consultation to help you meet all the necessary requirements.
You’re probably already aware whether your organisation qualifies for ESOS, which is determined by the number of people you employ or by your annual turnover. If you’re unsure, give us a call on 0345 634 9500 and we’ll let you know, or, for further information, you can check out all the qualifying criteria in detail at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/energy-savings-opportunity-scheme-esos
What you need to do
ESOS requires you to record and calculate the total energy consumption of your organisation over a 12 month period, at least 90% of which needs to be audited. By carrying this out, not only does your organisation keep compliant with the Environment Agency, you have a strong opportunity to review your energy usage in more depth.
The scheme greatly benefits your understanding of how your organisation uses energy, helping to identify areas where significant improvements can be made. However, we know that this can feel like a lengthy and overwhelming task. That’s where Trident Utilities can help you.
